There is a wonderful short 30-minute film in French on Yemen from 1974, half a century ago. The title is "Arts et Traditions Populaires au Yemen" narrated by Joseph Chelhod. The film has scenes in Sanaa, crafts in the suq, food, agriculture, architecture and a range of activities. Whether you know French or not, the images are well worth watching.
