Congratulations to Marieke Brandt, who has just published a fascinating biography of Shaykh Mujahid Haydar of the Sufyan tribe. Her work is based on interviews with the shaykh and provides a history of relations between the Sufyan tribe and the Yemeni government in the past several decades. It is also available in pdf as open access online. I attach below the zamil that is included as the frontispiece to the book.
