One of the major Islamic scholars of the Rasulid era in Yemen was Muḥammad b. Ya‘qūb al-Fīrūzābādī (1329-1414) who served as Chief Qāḍī in the court of al-Malik al-Ashraf Ismā‘īl. One of his most famous works is a major lexicon called al-Qāmūs al-muḥīṭ, which can be searched online.
